Guide for Creating Video Presentations

The BSU Graduate Research Workshop is an annual event hosted by the graduate school at Bowie State University. The objectives of the workshop are to help graduate students to enhance their research and communication skills, and to better understand how to prepare for science and educational careers in a global workforce. Towards this end, the general format for the one (1) day workshop will include oral presentations. Other workshop activities include:

Understanding STEM careers in a global context and identifying international research and education opportunities.
A panel discussion on current research topic in academia and industry.
Building research skills and developing focus on employment searches and retention.

This year's event is virtual online only. The virtual model will provide an excellent platform for scholars to present their research on various topics. A panel of distinguished researchers will review each abstract and presentation. This event will culminate with an award ceremony and certificates.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

One (1) 3000 character abstract
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
Submission must be sent via EasyChair.org link

ELIGIBILITY

All GRA recruited by the graduate school is required to present
All doctoral students who have completed their comprehensive exam(or proposal defense) are required to present
MS thesis students are required to present
All graduate students who are working on individual research grants from faculty are invited to present
All graduate students who are working in individual research laboratories and course projects are invited to present/showcase their research
