Virtual Reality Instructional (VRI) modules for Teaching Complex Topics and for Training for Improving Quality of Care and Patient Safety

  1. Teaching: Instructional course curriculum modules
  2. Health care: care team members to engage patients
  3. Training: COVID-19 testing.
  4. Manufacturing: VR Assembly using HTC Vive

The aim of this project is to create instructional course curriculum modules with more inquiry based problem-solving activities and hand-on experiences based on Gaming and Virtual Reality. The game theme instructional (GTI) or Virtual Reality Instructional (VRI) modules endeavor to increase the students interest in learning programming concepts. We have evaluated the VRI/GTI modules using User Engagement Scale (UES), Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), and Science Motivation Questionnaire (SMQII) to evaluate usability, likability, and motivation respectively.
